Many Ugandan women/ladies have become single mothers as a result of death of their husbands, being divorced with their husbands, polygamy practiced by their husbands and sometimes some men tend to run away from their families after being unable to provide the family with all basic needs thus leaving the women to be in control of everything.
According to our community research it is affirmed that most women/mothers are illiterate and jobless leading an enormous list of challenges they face. Women are also taken to be inferior in most local communities by being subjected to house work and garden work only. This was from the ancient African people who believed that girls were to be prepared for marriage, teaching them on how to organize food and how to care about their future husbands; these factors have left most of them being denied to have access to education.
Out of our great sympathy towards our community mothers, we want to stand with them to see that we help put an end to most challenges they are going through with their families of no fathers.
